Moore Expressions is operated by a first (Cherrie Moore) and second (Joe and Joy Moore Suits) generation homeschool family. With the assistance of Deb Plaster,  Diana Suits (Joe's mom), Elaine Ewbank (our mail order manager) and many more staff members (all who currently homeschool as parents or students), we have more than 50 years combined experience.

Starting in 1987, Moore Expressions began as a supplemental income for a single-parent homeschooler. Starting with a few used Saxon math books, and with God's direction and blessing, we are now a 2nd generation homeschool family operated business with over 4,000 square feet of storefront space. We not only carry Saxon math, but also stock millions of other homeschooling books.

Our mission is simple - to save homeschoolers money. It has always been our main philosophy and purpose to help homeschoolers with their homeschooling budget by offering used and discounted new materials. We help our customers understand the value of homeschooling and how to pick curriculums based on their child's learning style.

Part of that philosophy is to empower parents to know more about how their children learn and how to motivate that child. Who better to enhance a child's learning than their parent? Sometimes all a parent needs is a bit of encouragement to bring out the "teacher" in themselves.

Our employees know homeschooling! The employees and staff members at Moore Expressions are either homeschooling parents, graduates, or even homeschooling students. In fact, two of them are both homeschool graduates and homeschooling parents.

Who are We?

As mentioned earlier, we are homeschoolers who are involved in our community and our churches. Cherrie Moore is the owner and president. As a single parent she taught her daughter Joy from 7th grade to graduation. Now, Joy and her husband Joe Suits homeschool their daughter, and are also Vice-President of Operations, and Vice-President of Buying. Even Joe's mom is involved in the business assisting with store operations as well as in the buying department. Our mail order department is operated by Elaine Ewbank. A recent homeschool graduate, Elaine strives to make every mail order client feel as if they are shopping at our store directly. We know homeschooling and desire to serve the homeschooling community!
